I will start by stating that I drove a 2005 Toyota Sequoia for 20 years until my dad decided that he no longer needed his 2019 Yukon Denali with only 32.000 miles on it. I sold my Sequoia and purchased his Yukon. In the 20 years that I drove my Sequoia, the removable third row seats hung on the wall of my garage nearly the entire time. I think I only used them three or four times max. I had a cargo cover in it to keep things out of sight and to also add some protection from the sun as I live in Phoenix and the interior gets extremely hot. It lasted me the full 20 years I had the Sequoia. I purchased a cargo cover for the Yukon and find it very annoying that it catches on the third row seatbelts when trying to close it. I find myself twisting and moving it side to side to untangle them, causing me concern that I may damage the cover in the process.

I figured I had the perfect solution when I bought myself some seatbelt positioners on Amazon as well as some outdoor 3M mounting tape. It turns out the tape sticks fine to the body panel but lets loose from the seatbelt adjuster in short order.

Does anyone have a better solution for me?

1) a better tape that will hold - rather not glue cheap holder as unsure how long it will last
2) pop rivet holder to panel? I do not know what is behind it or if clearance for rivet, or if will cause rattling noise.
3) a completely different way to remedy this

I realize this sounds petty, but in all likelihood the third row seats will likely only be raised once every couple years at most, and I feel it stupid to end up ruining cover wiggling it around seatbelts as I open and close it quite often.

I bought two styles and would prefer using the one on drivers side that has metal clip as well as can put seatbelt prong in so that it doesn't rattle and it also looks cleaner. I had to put second one on belt on passenger side to hold up to avoid rattles. Contemplating gluing something to the fake leather positioner then double stick taping to yukon, but a better tape would be better option. Needs to be strong and hold up to the heat. Concerned the fake leather will just peel off and it will let go as well. The plastic positioners seem to have crappy reviews on durability.

This may be way out in left field.I've never owned this model. Are you able to disconnect the seatbelt from the pillar? You’d want to check where the airbag sensors are first.

I wish to leave seatbelts intact in the rare event I use the seats. I have a family of 4 coming in December that I may be using the Yukon for trip from airport or if we all ride together to go out to eat, etc. This is unlike when I was in high school and completely removed my seatbelts in my thunderbird to make it easier to get into back seat (shoulder straps got in the way)

My most recent attempt that is holding thus far is using the same double stick tape but also using a glue between the tape and the holder. Yukon has been in garage most of the time since so not in hot sun so time will tell.

I have searched for diagrams trying to figure out exactly where wiring runs as well as what is exactly behind the rubber plugs by where I attached the holders. I tried to pull one out to see if a screw behind it but gave up in fear of ripping it. For all I know there is a screw holding panel on that I could just remove and use longer screw to solve my problem. Both driver and passenger side have switches/plugs/wiring somewhere behind panel. I realize it wouldn't be that big of issue if I try to remove panel to see, but hate to damage it. I drove my last vehicle for 20 years and will likely drive this one just as long.

I believe the wiring is closer to the floor but if you have enough room pull the panel away enough to get your phone in there for a picture. Don't the rear panels have removable sections on top? My ‘07 had it’s Jack stored in there.
