I thought I had a leaky high pressure line but looking closer now I see that the ps pump is leaking a little in the area of the shaft right above where the hose is getting wet.
Question is are any aftermarket pumps an acceptable replacement? I see many names on RA.
I saw a video that seems to point to needing a tool set to remove and replace the pulley. The cost of that might make having the mechanic tackle it as he is probably tooled up but I am open to opinions.

You can rent the tool from AutoZone or whoever, and get your full deposit back after. This is what you want: https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-...r/p/oemtools-pulley-puller-installer/2075_0_0

It is easy to remove the pulley with the tool. I'll see if I can the instructional video on YouTube that made the most sense.

This is the pump I purchased from RockAuto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=12747973&cc=3305735&pt=7380

This video; short & to the point:
Thanks.
I wondered about Edelmann seeing several different things that show.
Has it held up ok?

Edelmann Elite 80617E Power Steering Pressure Hose, and Edelmann 80618 Power Steering Return Hose.

I didn't replace the other hose, from the cooler to the low pressure side, because it was still in perfect condition. The other hoses were leaking/seeping where the hardlines were crimped to the rubber.

I just received this same pump and ordered all new Edelmann hoses and a Edelmann rack. How’s your steering holding up? Any complaints? My pump is burning up, flushed the fluid 6 months ago and it’s black again. Then I started getting noises when turning, I crawled underneath poking around because my suspension is all brand new and to my knowledge my steering rack bushings on the driver side are shot. With 171k miles I’m going to do everything including the hoses too. With the 100 year 1 million mile warranty you really cannot beat that. I’ll flush my old rack and press in new bushings to save for a rainy day if this one were to ever fail on me. That way it reduces my downtime off the road

Just swapped out my rack on the Yukon with a Detroit axle. I know that's the cheapo rack but I figured give it a try and It came with new tie rod ends also. Haven't driven it yet but hopefully it feels good. Gonna look into rebuilding the factory rack later on.

Mine is holding up, or at least hasn't given me any trouble.

That’s great to hear! I can’t wait to get mine done now. It’s groans on cold mornings which has just started doing recently. And I can understand though, I groan too when I get up on cold mornings too
