so yesterday we are headed to meet my inlaws for breakfast since they were in town for my son's b-day. go to the restaurant & have a nice breakfast. come out to find that someone keyed my driver's door & there is some sort of impact mark on the mirror housing. they also hit the truck as they were backing out by the gas filler door. i'm not too worried about the impact in the back b/c it's light enough it should be able to be buffed out. but i'll have to get the door repaired b/c it is deep.

sad thing is....as i was walking away, i realized i wasn't totally centered in the spot. so i walked back & fixed the truck so it was centered in the spot. and i still came out to the damage.

another reason i refuse to park close to the front door.. i prefer to walk.. and park at a median and hug the median.. or ill pull the double space parking job if i am farther out.. people have no regard for there surroundings

IMO it boils down to jealousy . I won't park Directly next to a Brand new expensive car If I can help it I like to keep distances between my vehicles and others , Even the old yukon . Its not perfect by NO means But I try to take care of what I have and I'm proud of it. its no NNBS but I respect it and it has served me well

Man that SUX! Sorry to hear that. Like I was telling my 16 year old the other day, SOME people just like to make it a habit to do as much damage to those around them as they can. I do take solace in the fact that you KNOW that people like that go through life completely miserable. That HAS to be why they feel the need to do things like that.

yeah it sucks. i normally park farther out & just walk. a little walking doesn't hurt anyone. but at this restaurant, there is no good space to park without crossing a busy 4 lane highway. and all the spots that have a curb on one side were all taken.

it just totally blows my mind that they would key the truck when there was more than enough room on the side. they didn't dent anything with the door. i can even give the excuse they can't drive & that's why they hit it when pulling out. but to key the door is just not right. again, i could understand if i did something, but for no reason, i just don't get it.

People in general don't give *** about anything but themselves. The way they drive, the way they park, the way they act, it's only about them and everyone else is irrelevant. Basically we're surrounded by fuktards. I do my best to keep away from them rather than constantly be stressed and aggravated ... sometimes it works. It's gonna get worse.

Agreed, what happened to Communitys? Down south where I grew up there was a Such thing where you may not know everyone in town but 95% of people respected each other . I notice up north hear in NJ there is no such a thing

Man that's soo weak! People are definitely stupid.
I agree with the rest of the comments though.. This kind of stuff is why I always park way away from people. Walk a little further, but at least I have better chances of staying away from those people who are so dumb.
Sorry to hear they did the damage to your rig. Very weak.

I too...head for the furthest parking spot away. Look for an end space even there... would only park between 2 cars if it's absolutely necessary (but never is/haven’t).

Also the parents who dont watch their little bastards. They throw the doors out and have had too kany times where it hits our cars and the parent denies it. Like you can see where the runt hit it and whatnot and the parents pretty much tell you to go **** yourself. I dont get why people are like that... I dont like parking close to stores when i have my explorer or other rides but ive also had insedents where old people slam door open and hit my hoe i get pissed because again they deny it like if they are right and it never happened

when i had my old F150, i had the windows tinted really dark. it was great b/c i was sitting in my truck & some guy had opened his door & the wind blew it open, hitting my truck. the look on his face when my window rolled down was priceless. no damage was done & i knew he didn't do it intentionally.

When I was in College I had an 95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme that was not an expensive car but I put $100 rims on it and larger tires on the back and smaller on the front. A bra when those were in and a spoiler. It got broken into 3 times in one years and 3 times the next year. I was a nice looking vehicle but it wasnt worth much but still them losers had the urge to ruin my week ecspecially in the middle of winter when I would have to drive home with a garbage bag over my driver side window. It was a cold ride home 3 hours, I had an extra windoe at home so thats why I drove back home. What is the purpose of being a jerk

Just recently I was walking ( from my way out parking spot ) into a grocery store, and seen a dad letting his kid push his cart to the cart corral after emptying its contents into his shitbox of a car. I seen the kid, with all his mite, push the cart towards the cart corral from a good 20 feet away, wind caught it and slammed it into a 07 or better Suburban, truck looked brand new, so I assume it was closer to a 2012. He simply left it there, and walked back to his car, where his dad was watching the whole thing.

I snapped a picture of the dudes vehicle, and returned to mine and waited 20 ( yes 20 mins sitting in my car trying to be a nice guy ) mins for the lady who owned the suburban to come out. I calmly walked up to her and made her aware of myself to not startle her, explained what had happend and offered to text her the picture, and told her that I know the lot is video recorded, so the managers would likely be able to provide legal evidence.

She looked at me with a blank stare and said " its just truck, no need for all that " and turned back around.

That was the last time I have tried to help a stranger out, people not only dont care about other peoples stuff, they dont care about their own.
