Park Assist "On With Towbar Attached" Setting?

What exactly does the "On With Towbar Attached" setting change about the park assist? I have not noticed any change. When having my rear mounted cargo basket attached, the park assist system will automatically disable itself after sensing such a close proximity that doesn't move after a certain period of time, regardless of the infotainment system setting. I really wish the rear park assist could be disabled separately from the front sensors but that's a pointless conversation given how little I use a cargo basket out of a full year of driving. From my research the owner's manual doesn't describe this setting.

Since posting I have found the answer - this setting is intended for very small receiver hitches only, such as the chrome ball that you might be inclined to leave in when you are not presently towing.
