Painting my wheels.....Opinions?

I am wanting to paint my Forte 22" wheels Black. New to the site and just looking for some opinions on how it would look and any advice!

I say go for it. Prep is everything, I sprayed my old silver SS rims with dupli-color Gunmetal wheel paint.

I wet sanded through the original paint, primed, sand, prime, sand, color (I did 4 coats), light wet sand, then clear (I did 5 coats). They're on a truck in town now and they are still holding up for him.

I say no.. spray painting my rims was the worst idea
as much as you convince yourself they look better because they are black in all reality they look worse
just keep them the same and sell them then get newer rims

I'd have to agree with you Kasey, on the selling them and buying new ones part.
But painting is a cheaper solution, and can look good if done right.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't paint them. Powder coat them.

If you paint them take them to someone who knows what they're doing and don't use spray paint and do it yourself, IMO.

I have painted 2 sets of wheels with automotive paint, and clear coat. Look great!

powdercoat or plasti-dip. go to google and type in "plasti dip wheels" check it out, do some research on it. if you want to go the painting route, i would suggest using plasti dip. check it out
