what's going on everyone, headed home for spring break in a week and figured i would give myself a little project to paint my handles to match the summit white on the truck. I had a quick question, as of right now i have the fake chrome covers on the handles. Under the covers are the ugly textured black handles. Should i sand down and prep the chrome covers and paint those white or should i just go straight to the original handle and prep those? i painted my emblem and rear appliques white to match so i know the process but just wasnt sure which part would be better to paint. thanks again!

You're best off just painting the handles. But I would personally just buy some off ebay that are already painted and paint them to match if they don't already. That way you wont have to worry about the textured surface of your factory ones. Definately dont paint the covers though.

That's a good point, summit white is one of the few factory colors where the doorhandles were available color-matched (LT models).
