Opinions wanted on roof rack

So I am thinking about getting the roof rack off of DwDrummer. I am just not sure what it will look like having a chrome rack with the black wheels. The black kinda goes with what I got going on now. What do you guys think?

Take it off, looks way better. I just got some button head Allen bolts and painted them to match. Not too noticeable unless your looking for them

yea, just get rid of it all together, cleaner look imo, and ive heard set screws work better than anbything else

I did an esky rack an had it painted black and it looks much better than the stock rack.

i preffer no roofrack..cleaner look imo and since you removed the side moldings it jst makes it all look smooth heres mine..no roofracks or side moldings

Macho that looks great. I'm guessing since it was a plasti dip thread you dipped that entire thing.

When I asked for pics I should have asked for ones of what the mod of the hole looked like after taking the rack off.

When the rack is removed there is just a nutzert that's threaded so all you need to do is get a Allen head bolt or set screw in the correct thread size which is M6x1.00 iirc. Then put a dab of rtv on the bolt and thread it in.

Even with the button head Allen bolt its hard to spot from 20 feet. Once your closet you can see it but it doesn't look bad. Ill get some pics today for you

Glad you asked bc that thread (like many on TYF) evolved. I actually had a local painter sand and paint it. Bc none of the automotive paint shops wanted to paint the chrome. It's held up just fine tho

you dont need to fill in the holes with any screws. the holes are sealed and dont go through into the truck i never covered mine and have had no issues.

Thanks for the link. I really don't like the look of the esky rack when the wheels are black.
