Is it the same for AMP RESEARCH steps? I have heard that the oem ones are almost impossible. I know the AMP ones will look slightly different but it would be close enough probably.

I have amps on my silverado and there is no switch. They just tie into the door triggers. On my truck, for the front doors they tapped into the door wiring harness by the window switches, and for the rears, they tapped into a wire under the sill plates. Everything is run through the amp brain which gets installed under the hood. They came with LED lights for them too. One of my favorite mods on my truck.

I'll post all the info on a new thread once I get the lamp on the truck, including the guy's info who did the mod.

How much is he charging for this? The guy at cadillacforums.com that is doing it has been testing them and they keep failing eventually so he won't sell em until he gets it right... are you sure this has been through enough testing?
