Man, my truck does not like to sit for six days.

I started the engine at the airport parking last night after it sat there for almost a week, and the valves were ticking loud for a good ten minutes before they went back to normal.

At least I'm guessing it was the valves.

It's probably the infamous piston slap.

I wouldn't think piston slap would last for ten minutes but I guess it could. I'm surprised it took the oil that long to get to the top of the motor before the noises stopped! I would have expected the noises to stop much quicker so 10 minutes is a bit alarming to me.
