Hi, new girl to this forum. I'm looking for opinions, and I know people love to give their opinions, so I better get some response.

I'm looking at getting a pre-owned tahoe next week. I'll give you some details.

#1 - 2003, Z71 190k (yes, I know mileage is up there) it has been babied and totally maintained since birth, using all synthetic royal purple. It's on 24's, and is slightly lowered (professionally done) and lots of fun audio/visual stuff inside, blacked out. It's pretty awesome looking and drives like a dream. Not bumpy at all, great smooth ride.

#2 - 2001, LS 126k, dont know the history. It's on a lot, but a reputable lot. It's gorgeous too, perfect condition. Lifted. Not too high. Maybe 6-9"? All white, no special audio/video anything (which isnt too important, I can add that if I want to).

Here's the dilemma... I've had 2 lifted trucks. LOVED them. Had a blue 2002 LT 4wd, it was a dream. Did/had everything and ran like a champ! Looks exactly like this white one I'm looking at, but blue. Then I had a 2004 2wd lifted tahoe. Looked nice but I had NOTHING but problems with it. The gear ratio was never set up right I guess. Rear end went out, it was just a mess.
So, I sold the ************* 2004 and got a BMW, guess what ? HATE IT. I'm a truck girl. So, I'm back truck shopping over the next few weeks.

I love these two, both VERY different. I know I love lifted trucks, but after driving that black one, it felt so amazing, I'm feeling like I want to vertically step it down. Any opinions from any of you on lifted vs. lowered SLIGHTLY. This isn't dropped alot, just a little so it's a great ride. I've never had a tahoe that wasnt 2 1/2 feet off the ground, so I'm looking for someone to help me that has exp. with both. I love the lifted looks wise but might be over climbing to get into it. (I'm 5' tall, btw) :) yes, I have short chick complex I guess. lol

I would go with the 03. Tires from my experience are like any other rim and tire combo. Just watch out for the potholes because there is less meat on the tire. Good luck with either purchase.

I would go with the 03. No need for the lift, unless you're going to do some serious offroading. Mileage is high, but at least you know some history.

Ive had one lifted burb and a static dropped xl and my current one im going to lower soon. By far my lowered one rode better even with the 24s on it. I would go with the black one.

I'm seriously leaning to the black too. What about the mileage though? Think that's cool? 191k? Supposedly it was babied and synthetic oil changes and everything. Just seems so high to me......

If taken care of these motors will run 300K+ theres a couple of members on here with really high mileage and they have had minimal issues.
