It appears that Onstar MyChevrolet remotelink is no longer free for 5 years with new vehicle purchase. You spend $65,000 on a new truck and they want you to pay another $15 a month just to be able to remote unlock using the myChevrolet app. Dealer had no idea about this change and didn’t inform me. Onstar won’t help at all. Both GM and Onstar website still says 5 years included free. I am not happy about this... feeling lost what to do...

Most definitely not free. Downloaded the app and it worked the first month then they said pay $15 a month or can’t use the app to unlock the car. Called the dealer and they looked into it.... apparently it’s no longer free for new cars and “no one told them”. I’m very disappointed.

Contact your state's Attorney General and complain about the false advertising. If you're in NY like I think you are, you should get some action on that.

You are definitely doing something wrong. Have you owned the vehicle since new. I am the original owner of my 2017 maybe that's the difference. d8d3a6e83bdac63a1f9b3f3bc2b58b0e.jpgf82c841273feed72cc7f00377926c01d.jpg

I heard it stopped being free for 5 years for any vehicles sold after 7/18. I would try the BBB if you were told otherwise or have something in writing for proof.
