I am looking to use the unused OnStar antenna for some Ham radio use.

I don't want to pay the $200-300 for a "disguised antenna"...

Can anyone provide me the wiring to the antenna? Some pics show more than one coax connected to it, but I think these are later models with XM or GPS integrated. I am pretty sure the GPS for my 2005 Denali is in the dash near the window and I have a separate XM antenna.

Thx

OnStar antennas operate in the CDMA mobile phone/data band, unusable for HAM use...

...and you're correct: the GPS antenna for the navigation is under the IP top, near the autolamp sensor.

I am only looking to reuse the base and swap out the actual antenna element. Some research since my original post reveals that there is a short coax lead with a SMA connector.

I am really looking to use this antenna to feed two data radios in receive only mode at 896 and 935 Mhz via a preamp/coupler.
