Old Spark Plugs

Hello, bought this old 2000 Tahoe z71 5.7 and going to tune it up but the spark plugs (and everything else for that matter) looks like they never been changed, it has 147300 miles on it. any advice on getting them out? maybe they will come out but they look really bad. thanks

You should be able to get them out without too much hassle. Just make sure the motor is cold and go easy. Have not heard of people having an issue with them. Might spray them with some penetrating oil and let them soak if you’re really concerned of if the first one gives you some grief.

Blow out the holes around the plugs with a strong air compressor before you remove them! Otherwise, 147,300 miles of dirt and contaminants can fall into the threads and cylinders.
