This thing rides like crap if ya ask me, dips in the road makes you think you're riding on flat tires the way it sways around. I honestly cant believe one of the suspension companies hasn't developed a cure for this... maybe not enough people complain about the ride.

watts link---- does the job well but kp's bolt on deal doesn't give adjustment for your roll center which may affect the ride quality. Not trying to slalom the brick at all but it's expensive and no adjustment. Not to mention it's pricey and has rod ends which I wont run on a daily driver.

wishbone--- as no spare tire on it I've got room to the frame rails at the rear and can then do a TA performance rear girdle and make a mount for the center of the wishbone. Less complicated than a watts link as there's more room to work in the direction I'd go. Can make with delrin bushings which are self lubricating and offer the smallest amount of deflection.

diagonal link--- surely the easiest/cheapest way to go just need to bend it to clear the fuel tank and hope it wouldn't hang low enough to worry about catching it on anything.

since your problem seems to be the swaying, maybe you should try some sway bars. the panhard bar should have nothing to do with it. the panhard bar just recenters the wheels to the wheel wells after lowering.....

i just recently installed belltech sway bars on my ride and the body rolls and leaning on my truck has gone. the belltechs are much more solid than the stocks

A 3" sway bar won't fix it

Just to clarify, it's not a body roll issue it's having.

How about you just replace all the worn pieces with new ones? Don't know what year your truck is, but maybe the suspension just needs to be freshened up. Mines stock, but have replaced the shocks with Belltechs, as well as both sways with aftermarket. Rides pretty damn nice, to me. Or your truck is a POS and you should just buy a new one.

My truck rides like butter with a 4/6 drop, something isn't right with your truck.

what set up are you running in both front and rear?

my older customers (50-60 years old) trucks ride great with the combos ive put in them and those are the hardest customers to satisfy.

5" springs/shock relocators/sway bar links/lower arm relocators

---------- Post added at 09:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:36 PM ----------

Max, can yasnap a pic of your panhard for me? Mine is about 2-3" lower on the frame than the mount on the housing.

Lorax54.. nothing is near wore out, it's just the nature of the beast and the sway bar design when the suspension compresses and unloads the bar pushes and pulls the rear end side to side and it's exagerated more when the bar is closer to being level like mine is.

maybe it's the race car side of me thats complaining, but I know it can be fixed and ride much nicer over dips.

Shocks? What you running for shocks? Could very easily be the issue...

Haha thats most likely the issue.
Remember DJMs "CrapMax" shocks are known to ride interestingly.
Try some Monroe Sensatraks, Bilsteins or Belltechs and see how you like them.
Then again what DJMDIRECT said could be true, they're 5" drop spprings are no better.

I'm gonna either try the trailblazer springs or bag it, haven't decided.

The shocks if they are truly junk I can see giving it the ride, but I'm 99.9% positive its the panhard over dips pushing the truck side to side.

I might try the spring/diagonal link and a good shock like a strange or qa1 double adjustable and see how that goes.

trust me on this the Trailblazer djm 4 inch spring mated to the djm rear shocks rides great. Reaguardless the djm 4 inch traiblazer spring will ride a lot better than what you have on there now.

Why instead of trying to reinvent the wheel don't you just shorten the panhard bar slightly or build a shorter one to correct the pivot point? I noticed when mine was lowered that one wheel was much closer to the wheelwell than the other, but I threw a spacer on there and let it ride. My vote was if you are could to run the bars towards the back of the bumper just remove the coils all together and place your bags on the bars that triangulate towards the back where the spare tire was? That is my plan if the stuff I have done thus farand will do doesn't work

not reinventing the wheel at all, just fixing GM's poor idea for the better. I could lengthen it around 1/4" but it's still a push/pull panhard bar in the end. I'll post pics and all that when I get it done.

DJM Direct... I talked to you about the stiff springs and I'll be getting a set of your springs to try.

im bagged in the rear with aftermarket shocks and the factory panhard and i still get the wiggle over dips. aired out my driver tire tucks and the quarter panel sits on top of the passenger tire. was gonna shorten the panhard but when its aired to ride height i think it will look goofy. i got all my valves and tank and compressor in the spare tire location so i dont see much room for a wishbone or whatever else...
