Man that sucks. Can't believe they wouldn't make it right after the second try.

Exactly. I had it on my ordered 2011 but I was expecting it as I'm somewhat of a weekend detailer for my own vehicles. You can feel it when you gently run your hands across a clean vehicle. Even more so if you put your hand inside a sandwich bag first which is a tip from the detailing sites. I just used a claybar to get it off. I won't let a dealer or car wash place touch my paint.

Yep- when I took delivery of mine the dealer apologized that they didn't have to time to clean it (inside or out). He said "bring it back this weekend and we'll take care of it for you." No way- they do a butcher job- I was glad they didn't mess with it. I would just get all pissed off and have to redo it anyway. My hood (dark silver/grey) has got swirl marks from where some monkey got it with a buffer (and didn't know what they were doing). I'll have to get some 3M stuff (final glaze I think) and get rid of that- it aggravates the hell out of me.

Check out the cleaning/detailing stuff these guys have.

I've not bought anything from them yet but likely will. I want to try the claybar they have specifically for glass.

Ya ill keep u guys posted. The feild rep has to look at it now and he is at the auto show the rest of this week. so i should know some thing next week. The dealer already said all they will offer is a wax job to try and hide the issue. That is not going to work considering the damage that is done to the paint. I told them if they cant fix it to the way it was then give me a new 1 considering it was only a few days old when they damaged it. and if i dont get the result i want I have a 30' trailer that i will be putting 7 4x8 sheets of ply wood standing 8' tall witha lovely message about this dealer and pull it every where i go.:)

I see it your way sir. Your truck is no longer the "new truck" You paid for. Your future capacity to fix errors in the paint have significantly been reduced. To top it off they chose to take care of your issue with less than satisfactory results. Pretty much they only care about the dealers expenses, and not customer care/service/satisfaction.

I'd take all notes, documents, photos with me and do a few things. Contact the GM, present the case, record the outcome. If that fails to get a new truck onto the next one, call a GM headquarter(s) and file a complaint about the dealer and supply all facts.

If that doesn't work, I'll follow this thread for results, and hope it never happens to me.

well back from vacation and the GM district specialist called me last night. To tell me the feild rep was called to detroit for the rest of the week. So i guess i wont have a answer till next week now. Ill keep u guys updated to the progress hope GM and the stealership get this worked out. If not i do have a feeling that this will be my last GM prouduct and i will be trading very soon.

I've read the entire thread and don't understand why you'd diss a whole brand due to the failures of a franchise. If anything, I'd sue the dealer. They'd likely settle out of court. Just make sure they cover your costs too.
