I looked at the 550 as well, drove one at my local dealer. The engine is another monster, but the car is slower 0-60. More importantly, it felt more cramped inside, and the interior (especially the nav) is very dated ... in fact it is reminiscent of the Grand Cherokee interior with a small screen hidden inside a giant dash hole. Plus, for some reason around here 95% of them are driven by rich soccer moms. More than anything the exterior styling of the RR is just much more pleasing to my eyes, for the GL looks a lot more 'station waggony' to me. Still, it is a fantastic vehicle as well.

I agree. The GL does seem outdated, and only the exterior refresh on the 550 with the amy kit is what makes it look nice from the front. Its still difficult to get the RR her in Northern California. One thing for sure, with the price of the new escalade, it brings a few more vehicles into consideration for that money. I think the new RR are one of the best looking SUVs on the road today.

Yeah, September is the soonest one can get a V8SC around these parts, maybe a little sooner for the V6SC (base, HSE).

Congrats on the RR Serge. I've read a few of their reviews and those things are monsters! Does your RR purchase mean we'll be seeing less of you here on TYF?

I drove this Rover today and let me tell you, this thing is a BEAST!!!

The power this thing puts out is insane. I was kinda surprised Serge let me stomp on it as much as I did

WOW Serge!
Talk about major upgrade here! The new 2013+ Range Rovers are clean! The feel of them makes any GM SUV I have been in feel cheap, but the 2015s look to be leaps better than the NNBS.
So how are you liking it so far?
I tested one of these Ranges out a year ago for the rents, but the 8 month waiting list and non-refundable $4k deposit made the G Wagon look like a better option.

Hey Modded ... we've missed ya old friend.

I love this thing, I can't say enough good things about it. :)

On a side note ... tomorrow is HID bulb upgrade time. And I've been back and forth with Vossen trying to finalize a 22" wheel/tire package.

Thanks! I missed this place a bit too.
So, are you upgrading the bulbs a higher/lower K rating or wattage?
And just in case things go south with whoever you're dealing with, I can get you out a deal with Vossen, Asanti, Lexani, and the WTW Corp. line of wheels like Giovanna. :Handshake:
