Hello all. Recently rebuild my AC system. Upon putting it all back together and charging the system, the AC works beautifully but I am missing the lamp for AC on the Hvac controls as well as the recirculating air lamp. The AC compressor is working when i toggle the switch on or off but no light. Also the MAX AC recirculating air doesnt work. No matter if have it on Max cold or depress the recirculating air switch.

Ive read that it may be the recirculating air door actuator but im wondering if there may be some procedure to re-calibrate the system. Looking for some opinions

The indicator light for the AC button may just be out since the compressor still engages.

As for the recirculation door, there are two diagnostics depending on if the door failed open or closed. The end result is the same either way, it could be the door actuator or your control panel. Here are the tables for a 1998, it's probably similar for all later years...

Thanks for all this info. I think you may be right about the ac bulb being burnt out. I replaced all of the HVAC panel bulbs with new ones as they were out. I removed the recirc air lamp and the ac lamp and put it back as it seemed to be a different bulb type than the normal panel lamps. They looked close in appearance but were slightly different. Any idea what type the recirc and ac bulbs are? Napa found that the other lamps were #74.

Ill look into the recirc situation and attempt to reseat the hvac control connector on the back side to see if may e thats the issue too. Thanks again for the reply.

Not sure about the bulb size, but I think I've seen YouTube videos describing the replacement. They may mention the bulb type.
