Has nothing to do with the "mounting brackets" if it did I would have put the seats in already. The tracks are too wide!! Like I stated previously too wide to fit between the trans hump and the door. So unless you have done it I am saying it cant be done.

So I researched this for my 96 2 door and found on another forum where a guy did this in chevy truck. Same setup we have, and he used sets from 2006. That being said he cut the seat mounts on both and welded them together. Sounds easy enough. Another was a video I found where they cut into the trans tunnel just enough to add that bracket. Seems they only had to do that on the passenger side. So there re 2 different ways. Hope this helps out.
