So what reasons would cause this to come on out of no where. I installed a new battery, alternator, and fuel filter and when I started it back up the light came on. What does it take to fix the problem and how much would it normally cost?

Thanks for any input.

More than likely the impact sensors on the front bumper... I believe they are around $60 a sensor and there are 2 of them

Take it to an auto parts store have them plug it in. When the air bag light came on in mine, that was the cause.

So after replacing these will the airbag light auto reset or do I have another issue?

My airbag light just came on last week and after a lot of research the most common problem is the sensors like countryboy said so i just ordered two new ones and from what i read there is no need to have the light shut off, It will turn off with the new sensors in place.

Ok well I've changed sensors and it's still on. I'm also doing some research on the sensor in the passenger seat. Maybe that's what I'm dealing with.

My airbag light was on in my 05 and I read somewhere there about a yellow connector under the driver's seat, I unplugged and re-seated it and the light went away and never came on again.

Do you happen to have a pic of the exact connector?

So I called around and every auto store I called said they can't test the airbag sensors. Any thoughts?

OK I'm at a loss. I've changed the impact sensors twice now and the light is still on. I need to get this thing inspected asap and have no other ideas to fix this issue. Please help.

Have you taken to a shop to have it scanned yet? I think that may be your only chance of finding out exactly what`s going on.

Everyone keeps saying only a dealer can scan it. Also does it usually cost anything to have it scanned?

It all depends on the shop you go to. The garage i used to work at was a small place and my boss didn`t charge to scan a car because most of the time it lead to us getting the money to repair it. I would call around to get some prices.
