Number of trucks still registered with the state by year?

Not necessarily important information, but i'm curious to know how to find it if it's public information. Would be good to know how these(or any vehicle) hold up with the general public over time. Tried searching online and could only find how many units the manufacturer sold by year. Found that the sales numbers vary by source as well.

Due to the Driver Privacy Protection Act this type of information is not publicly available. The same way you cannot obtain a person’s name or address from a license plate number. this type of information is only available to state agencies for data purposes and also to law enforcement for obvious reasons.
