nubie lift question

Help me understand lifting. Example the Rough Country RCX 6" lift. Does it just raise the truck for tire clearance, or does the suspension travel increase from stock?
My 2door is currently stock with 33's, seems to fit fine. I want more travel and big tires!

It simply raises the truck. the travel on that kit does not increase. It is a great option to allow larger tires. That is a good kit too. I am happy with mine.

How big of tires are you going? There is a "tipping" point at 35 inch really... Parts will need to be upgraded very quickly if you get much bigger and have a heavy foot...
