I did not do a full NorCal mod because I didn't touch the fender/wheel well near the driver/passenger seat... but I did trim the front portion of the wheel well (which was the area that my wheels were rubbing against the most.
There was a bolt that held together the plastic valance to the metal fender that needed to be removed and then replaced (it is shown in the pic).
