No temperature control in my 02 escalade

Every since I have had it, I have NO temperature control in my escalade. If I want it hot...I have to turn the knob all the way to the hot side.

If I dont turn it all the way to the hot side where the knob "locks" out, it will just be cold

It does this with all 3 AC controls for the front middle and rear.

The crazy thing is, every once in a while, the air will work like it is suppose to.

Its very annoying constantly switching from hot to cold every 5 minutes to keep the truck at a constant temperature.

Any ideas?

I'm assuming its a actuator maybe?

my buddy had that problem on his old ride, it was an older chevy truck I believe, and cables pulled the hot n cold into position. He had to lube his cables cause they kept getting stuck. Not sure how it works on newer rides, haven't checked mine, it may be electronic, so.... May be bad switches. sorry I'm not more helpful
