No 2nd gear

My transmission fluid got about 2 quarts low, and I lost 2nd gear. I have refilled the fluid and still no second gear. I was thinking it could be the solenoid? thank you in advance.

What transmission? And do you simply not upshift (ie it remains in first) or does it upshift and feel like it's in neutral?

Is your CEL illuminated?

Did you confirm your fluid level is at the full hot mark on a level grade at operating temp.

Lastly, Why do you think its a solenoid problem?

CEL is not on, I'm just guessing on the solenoid.

It won't go into 2nd downshifting or upshifting. Under hard Acceleration It feels almost like it's going into neutral. When first gear red lines, it shifts directly to 3rd

I'm out...its like pulling teeth to get any information out of you.

Generally a neutral condition in a given gear indicates applied element failure meaning you need to yank it for overhaul.

Drop the pan and see what's at the bottom. Burnt clutch/friction material means rebuild time.
