I really appreciate all the knowledge you guys have. As a result, I am learning a lot about the Tahoe PPV. Really glad I was lucky enough to get one. Thanks for all the info you guys!!!
That's what we do here. And before long, you will also be answering member's questions, as well, as your experience and knowledge base for your truck grows.

Consensus notwithstanding, it's the TRUTH, so long as a thorough tune is performed by a competent tuner.
That means none of those tunes-in-a-can will do anything for longevity/durability.

Based on a lifetime average speed of 45MpH, it likely spent lots of time in 5th & 6th gear, quite possibly with the torque converter clutch locked.
One of the things missing on your list was changing your ATF & filter. Get that and the tune done at your first convenience.
Anything I need to know about the fluid for the 2012 6 Speed? Brand and spec wise?

I know the P71 Crown Vic had some really specific fluid changes and shops needed to be aware.

For anyone interested, I did a little intro video and will be doing several more soon to cover the detailing aspect of my auction PPV. And if youre SUPER BORED, you can even check out some of my P71 stuff. LOL.

According to nearly every GM source, Dexron6 works for 6L80.
However, I know of several CA mechs who swear that using 8L90E-spec ATF - Mobil 1 LV ATF HP - works well also (even for the 4L60E, by the way).
I know my 4L60E works well using Mobil 1 LV ATF HP, so there's no reason not to use it in a 6L80. Or Dexron6 ...

Thanks Marky! I contacted a local shop here and they confirmed they use
'the OEM fluids'
on the 6L80.
You do realize how imprecise that is? Not saying that it's dangerously imprecise, but ASSUMING you meant Dexron6, not all Dexron6 are created equal -
that's why I stepped up to Mobil 1 LV ATF HP for my 4L60E.

So now I’ve gotten the following things done:

1) Replace Radiator
2) Replace rear pads and rotors
3) Flush/fill brake fluid
4) New Tires
5) Replace Air filter
6) Oil change with M1 Extended Perf 5w30
7) Transmission service
8) Lucas fuel treatment
9) New Battery

After doing all of these things, it feels like a different truck! Running great but still more to do. Might need some help from the group. The next things I plan on taking care of are as follows:

1) Dome/Map Lights not coming on when I open the door. No idea what the problem is because they do work when manually switched on and the vehicle is definitely sensing the doors opened as it will ding with the key in the ignition.

2) Horn not working. Is this a lot of work? I’m no electrician and I hate wires. Any advice here is appreciated as well!

3) Cracked dash- I’m almost certain I want to do the Dadh skin. Anybody have opinions there?

4) Alternator needs replacing. It is making an awful noise almost sounds like a transmission sound. Is the 1A Auto TRQ part good? I think it’s 160 Amps.

5) Tune- Thinking Blackbear

6) Intake- Air Raid Junior tube and filter combo

7) Maybe a cat back exhaust but I def don’t want drone on the highway. Open to suggestions of the setup I should consider.

Thanks for any feedback you guys have. She’s well known the way to being a solid solid DD!!!

Any luck with the wipers? I visited my local dealer and was told that the 2014 PPV wipers are discontinued. If anyone has a source for the wipers I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I'll probably have to pull off the wiper arms and get regular ones.

I just got the RainX wipers. They have an adapter for the PPV style wiper arm hook.
