I have a lot of questions, but I won't ask them all in this Thread.
I have a 99 Tahoe, 54k miles, it hit a telephone pole, the telephone pole broke in half hit the roof just above the windshield. The other part came down and hit the roof by the rear side window. So the windshield and the left rear side windows are broken
It was running and driving after the bumper was pulled out, but has not been started in about five years.
Right now, I am not sure exactly which section to post questions in.

Well !! my questions include pictures. I need to post, but apparently I can't post pictures yet, so I just say hello.

EDIT: Well I guess I can.

Do ya think I can bump the roof out and put a new windshield in ??

Next question
Would the ground wire with the red circle, cause the fuel pump to not function,if not hooked up ? Right now inner fender is removed.
The wire with the yellow circle I believe goes to the lights

Very nice project, wish I could find those deals when I have the coin to get one. Whenever I find them something has taken all my operating capitol so to speak...lol

I am not sure on the wiring question.

A lot of work ahead of you. GL keep up posted. You going to do the body work yourself?

Why not just find a truck on Craigslist and swap the body over? It looks like that truck has a salvage title. If you look around you will find something with a million miles on it for fairly cheap, clean title, and you will probably have to do half the body work to it. You could swap your interior into the new body as well. That looks like its going to leak unless you get some patch panels.

Even if the frame is bent id take it to a body shop and stretch it back out. Not as bad as it seems bro. Hell if u see a 2dr a t the junkyard get it take it home and chop off parts u need. I got 2 in a junkyard so if i wreck mine i can chop off what i need and weld on:)

X2 on this!! Also, it's going to take a VERY skilled body man to fix that roof if it can be fixed at all. First things first though is to get that frame checked!

You can't always pull the frame straight though. The frame horn is bent pretty bad on the passenger side.

The windshield won't seal with that dent. Might take some work to get the window frame square again.

Believe me the frame can be fixed. If its too damaged then cut off the damaged portion and weld in new piece. Always fixable just depends on how much u got and if yoy got another 2dr as a donor

I agree with 99 2dr....I see high milage Tahoes sitting all over for cheap....bodys in great shape and you would have a clean Title.....definitely worth looking into..especially if you are like me and not a body man!!!

well that depends if its bent past the front tires it has to be straightnd prof , or you will never get it right tires will wear fast brakes and all kinds of susp parts will suffer not to mention a ruff ride

Yes eventually I will be taking it in and get the frame tweaked right.
It's kinda hard to tell if it's bent past the front part, Ya know ! Just eyeballing it doesn't tell me much.
I think I will take some measurements off some others when ,I get to the junk yard, just to get an idea of what I've got to do.

I hit pay dirt.:party33:

craigslist / 98 Chevy truck parts
parting out a 98 Silverado motor is bad call if you need anything, front clip $300 box$300
Doors sold ea transmission$300 transfer case $150 rear end 300 tunnel cover 50
seats console and mirrors are sold

Even if I have to pay the full 300 for the front clip it's still a good price, don't ya think ?
J Yards here are asking 650 for front clip.
Plus I need air box , battery tray, and a windshield
