Hi all,

Just picked up my first Tahoe yesterday. Its an 06 with a 2/4 drop and some tasteful stuff done to it. The miles are a little high, but the truck drives like new and has no issues aside from the A/C.

I have owned multiple cars with LS engines, and I'm excited to be back in one. I look forward to learning a lot here on this platform, and gathering information as much as I can.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Welcome from Miami Beach Eric! Looks to be in excellent shape!

I am sure forum members in the 06 section can help you with your A/C issue.

Welcome from NJ. I like your dark cloth interior. How many miles do you have?
Hi TonyRodz,

Thank you! it has 220k on the ticker! very much babied miles. it runs amazing, no lights, leaks, or anything. I am on the lookout for a 6.0 (or larger) shortblock to start a turbo build with though.

Too bad you're not from NJ. I'm swapping out my 6.0, and the old block just needs new cam bearings.

Got any of the turbo details figured out? Or know what kit your thinking of?

I kinda want to keep the motor reasonable so I have been looking at something like the on3performance 76mm. Of course, reasonable is a relative term when it comes to boost. So, I should say I want to stick to 6-8 lbs and try to be happy. its a .80 A/R and is relatively cheap, so why not give it a try?
