Hi everyone,
Just picked up a 2025 Tahoe Z71 Diesel and I’m looking forward to learning from the community and sharing my own experiences.

I’m already diving into trip prep for a 1690 mile trip, so I’m especially interested in hearing about must-have accessories, maintenance tips, and any hidden features you’ve discovered on the new model.

I’ve been around big SUVs for a while and enjoy hands-on maintenance, so I’m happy to contribute where I can. Looking forward to connecting with fellow owners and swapping ideas.

Agreed! I’ve learned a lot on various forums - very knowledgeable members. Had a 2009 Suburban 2500 until recently and really leveraged the forums.

Only 380 miles so far, but loving it!

Here’s a few pics of ours:

In the past month I purchased two new GMC vehicles both being diesel. First diesels for me as well. I purchased a 2025 Sierra 2500HD Denali with a 6.6l Duramax for me, and a 2025 Yukon XL Denali with a 3.0 Duramax for the wife. So far no complaints. I just can believe the range indicated for the diesels. Over 730 milesfor.the wife's and over 600 for mine. Waiting to see if the MPG goes up. Not very good... yet. Just need to get used to things like DEF, regen, and other things specific to a diesel.

Love my 2023 Yukon Denali 3.0 Diesel. Zero problems. I don't do any heavy driving or towing. It takes very little DEF, about 2000 MPG.

I’m going to purchase a Yukon diesel myself. Im in the fuel business in the Northeast and basically everything I have for vehicles are diesels as it’s a convenience a I sell Diesel.

Keep up on the oil changes…. If the manufacturer says 10k miles between then I try to do it in roughly 1/2 that. With the way the these new clean diesel technologies work it takes a toll on the oil. It basically pushes more contaminants into the oil.

How are you liking the vehicle thus far?

Thanks for the info…

Loving the Tahoe! Smooth shifting, no concerns with power of the 3.0L, def gets better mileage on the freeway (only 1 trip at this point over 200 miles. - most of my commute is under 10 miles each way — still, over 1500 miles and my average is 20 mpg). Ride of the Z71 is great (roads around here are not great).

Real experience will be on a 1500 mile trip starting Saturday.
