I was digging around in my garage a few days ago and I found this stuff in my garage. My dad bought it, never put it in his car, and told me if I can install it myself, he'll give it to me for free. I know this is pretty Low-Tech for modern day stereos, but it's still an upgrade from the stock radio with three blown speakers -_-
Anyway, it's this Kenwood thing, a 5 disc changer, and I found two brand new super high quality 8" woofers right next to it. You guys know the storage in the back? The jack is behind one, and it's empty behind the other. Anyway, for the install, I'm going to put the disc changer under one of the back seats, move the jack equipment into a box I store under the back seats, and use the newly acquired space to build a couple little speaker boxes for the new woofs. Then I'm going to cut out 8" circles in the cover-panels over the storage, and put a plastic grille in them for the speakers behind. I'm going to buy another pair to put back there too. I'm also going to replace all the blown speakers in the roof in the back, and on the driver door. It's so annoying listening to music with the Fade all the way to the front.
But yeah, I know this isn't anything crazy or impressive, but I think it's cool that I got this shit for free! Haha. Anyway, I'll keep you boys updated with pics and stuff. NO idea when I can get started though.
