Just picked up a 16 Yukon Denali for a great deal and looking to deck it out. Thinking about putting a 2/4 drop on it with magnaride delete. Is this worth doing? Also wanting to put 24s on it but having a hard time deciding on 305/35/24 or 295/35/24 and if the 305s will rub etc. Honestly just looking for suggestions and do/donts. It has 22s on it now but would rather the 24s. I’ll keep the 22s to ride during our small winter. 9AE3BB57-0CEC-478F-B9AC-F316BF6076AE.jpeg

Welcome back.

If you remove the Magneride, you will lose that active suspension, and turn it into a passive suspension. Your call for sure, and many folks here in the Forum have done that.

My recommendation to you is to keep the active suspension and buy a pair of Hellwig sway bars, and you will have a rock solid ride, both on smooth and rough surfaces, and the truck's handling will improve dramatically.

I cannot speak to the 22 or 24 inch rim sizes, but I can tell you that a 305/50x20 tire fits on the stock 20 inch rim with no rubbing.

I have a 2018 with BellTech 2/3 drop + Hellwig swaybar. With 285/45/22 I rub a little up front on tight turns with and incline or decline. I would like to run 305s and still may. I ran 305s on my 2008 Avalanche with the BellTech 2/3 drop.

The drivability/handling with the drop + Hellwig swaybars is fantastic.

Most people delete magnaride when it one of the shocks begin to fail since its cheaper than replacing components of the mangnaride. I deleted magnaride, but i went up with fox coilovers instead of down. 2/4 drop would look good.

I found there’s a 2-3 drop without deleting magneride. Going to see if that’s something that can be done
The BellTech 2" front spindle & 3 to 4" spring drop kit retains mag-ride. It gives you a great ride.
