clearcorner lights. i don't think the black flow very well.

+1

Dont get me wrong.. i really dislike chrome.. and personally i HATE black wheels 90% of the time.. i DO think they have their place.. but ever since they started selling black as a cheaper option to ordering chrome... and everyone and there mom (literally) bought black rims because it looks uber custom on their stock plack trucks ... it just looks cheap to me..

If youre gonna do them black find a classy way to add some white accent to them or something.. or just do them white.. so the fact you got them customized is actually appreciated.. and it doesnt just look like you were too cheap to buy chrome

I just dont want YOU to spend 300 or 400 dollars to make them black.. and it look CHEAPER than when you started.

I was thinking about doing that but my truck isn't extreme enough :imo: for that. That looks best on heavily modded/offroad trucks again :imo: and I like having the little chrome accents hence the lip, rivits and grill!! :)

New mod ideas...here are a couple of mine for when I get bored in 2010...I'm known for taking on projects that take too long and cost way too much

I've always wanted to see the rear seats moved back for the leg room and turned into swivel buckets to watch a big flat screen.

I've also wanted to see the Tahoe with the rear doors welded shut and smoothed out of existance on the outside. Then replace the rear door window and rear long side glass with one from a burb.

This is the Denali that inspired me to have all the custom work done in my truck.

http://www.northolmstedperformance.com/gallery-p/photo-gallery/category/76-denali-custom-k2

I met Kellen Winslow a while back and when he showed me his denali and I took a lot of my inspiration for what I wanted to do to my truck and the limo esq interior design. He used his denali for going out and having a driver most of the time which is why he did the seats in the back that way. It would be very simple to make a partition and put a plasma up. I just bought a 58" plasma for my house and I didn't relieze until I took it out of the box how thin it was make 1" or 2" at most. Something that thin can be mounted in a lot of unique places.

It's hard to tell, is that white leather? Did they paint the doors and dash black?

B

The dash parts covered in white are suede. The whole center console is black and white suede. The black part of the dash I think was suede it may have been painted though. The doors are painted black with black suede inserts. All the white material is white suede.

So, should I put my clear corner lights back on? I still have my old ones, just thought the black would be different, but since the headlgihts aren't black, it kinda throws it off huh? Or should I black out my headlights? what's everyones opinion? Black out headlights and keep corners black? or go back to clear corners? I also have clear/chrome taillights, but look kinda cheap and cheesy to me. But weren't bad with the other chrome: wheels, bumpers, I guess thats it, so it's not much. Also, whiting out the wheels are ok, have seen it done to another tahoe locally, but was two tone paint, white and blue, but the white wheels actually didn't look that good on it IMO. But whiting out the lips might look pretty good. As far as painting the wheels black, nah, would just buy new ones. MOBmentality is right though, doing black may just look cheap, as far as just painting them, it does IMO. and your right, EVERYONE has black wheels, but, doesn't mean they don't have there place. Like the door handles, but I too am not big on chrome, even on the inside. I bought the chrome wheels before doing all whited out. But I kinda like the black and white theme I got going, cause I can't change the color of the tires, and the tints gonna stay black. But thanks everyone for the advice, if you got more, appreciate hearing it, and also your feedback.

What is everyones opinion: Should I keep the front corners black and black out my headlights? Or. go back to clear/chrome corner lights? and possibly put clear/chrome taillights back on?

clear/
black corners are for dark colors or red.

you should put the plastic back on the rear bumper unless you are going to dechrome it and weld all the holes shut.

To me, personally and without offense intended, it looks BROKEN, not custom.

Ya trust me I KNOW. thanks for the input though, but it's DIFFENENTLY not done!! I just took off that plastic for the time being, haven't gotten it painted yet. It's NOT staying off, nor suppose to be the finished product. Just haven't gotten around to either painting old plastic, filling in holes, or roll pan, or possibly another idea I have in mind to totally trick it out, and do something unique. It's just off for the time being. thanks though, I do appreciate that being pointed out. it is not permenant though, trust me, not what I am going for, a kinda broken, not done type look isn't for me. Got a clean, smooth, just plain but different idea in mind. soon to come. thanks for the info on the corners. But black isn't only for dark colors, but do appreciate your insight. I am going for a two tone type look, since It's almost fully white, but many things must "stay black" IMO ie. tint, tires, rubber seals, but again, I am alittle up in the air on the front corners since I haven't or might not do the headlights. Again, just looking for opinions. please let me know what you think. To each there own as we all know, and what one may like, another doesn't , but it's nice to hear opinions and suggestions. Like A** holes, we all got one, and sometimes it takes an outside look.
