I just upgraded my factory reverse lights. I replaced them with the V3 5k white LED from V-LEDS. 7440 is the size they the stock Yukon housing uses. They easily have double to triple the output of stock if not more. I also like the pure white color a lot better than the stock yellowish bulbs.

The install was fairly straight forward. These bulbs have a roughly 2"x2"x3/4" ballast box that needs to be mounted near the bulbs (similar to HID kits). The small size made it easy for me to double side tape it to the back of the taillight housing. The rest of it was easy plug and play.

The heat sink on the back of the bulb sticks out a lot further than the stock bulb. They just clear the back of the sheet metal on the car but they do fit.

One thing I really like about these bulbs is the ability to move the LED element in our out to focus and position the light properly in the housing. I wasn't a huge fan of the universal mount system. You basically put small screws into pre-drilled holes in the side of the bulb housing depending on the lamp application. One of the screws did seat well enough in the body but it ultimately was secure when mounted to the taillight. It also comes with different thickness gaskets to make sure you can get the proper seal and mounting pressure.

Sorry I don't have pics. The output difference didn't show up well on camera. I have some trees at the end of my driveway and after this install the tops of the tree is well lit where it wasn't before. These also throw noticeable light onto my neighbors house across the street.

Overall I'm pleased and would recommend for somebody looking for more reverse light without wanting to mount additional lights under the bumper somewhere.

A bit off topic but I'll add it here. I added LED puddle lamps in my side mirrors while I was doing the reverse lights. Much brighter than stock and they were an easy plug and play upgrade.

I've attached a photo of the LED installed in the lamp housing.

I did the puddle lights as well. The ones I used had 6 on the board. Really lights up the ground nicely.
