Brand new here. Getting my feet wet with a '09 PPV Tahoe. My boss bought it for his son who has since moved on to a built '10 SS Camero. This was left sitting idle in his driveway. He dropped some new faux carbon fiber center console and dash/door bezles, a center console, and Michlins at all four corners. According to light investigations, it's a good price by about $1k.
I've owned a 2000 Z71 Tahoe (old body style), a 2007 LTZ Tahoe and a currently have the beautiful wife riding around in a 2014 Escalade Premium Edition. Not new to the platform, new to the civi vs. gov thing. I'll be in it for a little over 2 yrs when I'll give it to my youngest son.
I'm trying to do the light to medium duty upgrades to make it nice for my next couple years and hand something pretty dang cool to my youngest son.

Thank you MD. I've been browsing around for a couple days. Your group is a pretty dang cool group of guys. I've been driving a 2000 Wrangler Sahara since 08.16.2000. This is the first DD i've had sine then. I'm pretty stoked about it, but the idiosyncrasies of civi/gov kinda wave me off a little bit when it comes to jumping right in to tearing it apart and working on stuff.
Its cool man, I appreciate the warm welcome. I'm gonna be trolling around for a little while about this new ride. Then I may even get crazy an start messing with the Wife's Escalade too

You said to make it cool for your son, and I thought of Andy's PPV which is his toy now but he did the graphics for his really young son! LOL

That PPV has had the motor tuned, a muffler and long tube headers, all mods done through Amazon is his goal. Runs pretty good in the quarter mile too.

Sorry man, that paint/wrap job is a bit too much for me and my circles (hopefully for my son tooo_O). For myself... it's more about creature comforts. I 'd like to put a high quality stereo in it, huge bumps not needed (amp'd 8s would be fine), rear view camera on said high quality stereo. Carpet wouldn't bother me. Performance mods are farther down the list, but they're still there. Turning my 16yr old spawn loose with the vehicle my 41 yr old self wants is not how you make him my 17yr old spawn. I juuuuust got it a couple days ago with no prior research. Still trying to figure a path forward out. I want it to be something, just not clear yet.

Welcome. Gotta post some pics up. Know any history on it? State police? Local?

    Local. City auction.
Informed on purchase that it needed breaks and shocks/struts at all corners. The rears were dragging pretty bad starting last Saturday.... is everything for these guys expensive? I'm gonna try to put some pics up. i was thoroughly frustrated with the profile pic process. The pic I got of it kinda sux.

Pic doesn't look too bad. Missing the center console? At least it's black--good color. There's a special ppv/ssv section here.
