Need some help & info on HID's for an 01' Z71 Tahoe

Hey everyone. Im relatively "new" to the forum. I've read tons of threads but not posted much. This is my second question up here. I see there are alot of helpful people up here so i thought id ask.
So i want to put HID's on my 01 Z71 Tahoe. I would love a green-ish color to match the color of the Tahoe. I've looked around and gotten mixed information. I dont want to ride around at night and blind the crap out of people. So what do i need in order to make this as easy and safe (not blind others) as possible.
What lights do you'll recommend and where from?

Depot projectors FTW!!

Getting the lights green will be a little problem since you will most likely get pulled over going with a 30k HID bulb, since green light isn't allowed to be visible from front of vehicle (well at least in AZ)
Can always do a projector color shield mod, and z-tail mod to get different color changes off top shield.

How much did your projectors cost? And where did you get them from?
Is it just an easy install, just plug and play or is it more complicated than that?

Depot projectors are just plug and play. I got them online few years back.

As for the projector, shield,z-tail, cutoff, color, all the modifications I did. It is alittle more complicated. You have to open up the projector and modify inside.

If you decide to go with just a quality set of HID's, i suggest trying to find a set of X2020's. It's a quality light made by Valeo/Sylvannia and they are DOT approved. I installed a set on my '00 Suburban and love them. They are very hard to find because V/S quit making them. I bought mine from brightheadlights.com
