need opinions!!!

ok im getting ready to paint my yukon n i going with white.... and everyone keeps telling me not to paint my truck white...i dont know y some many ppl hate white paint...well they talk me out of solid white so i going with a pearl.... so i need ur help to pick a nice white pearl and the one that get the most vote thats the one im going to choose. thxs fellas

I had a pearl white 2005 Nissan Maxima, if I did white, that would be the color!

Go to paint place, look up factory 2005 Maxima white.

I'm a big fan of the darker colors like the dark greens, dark blues, maroons and those kinds of colors. If you were going to do white I'd almost go with the white that they put on the Esky's which is that Diamond Pearl or whatever. It's a white but more like a creamish color and looks much nicer to me.

Just my opinion and not my Yukon When I was painting my '77 I just went up to O'Reilly and looked at paint chips to pick out the color I wanted and ended up with an early 90's GM color of Medium Dark Metallic Blue. You might think about doing that too and you might see something that you really like.

Your truck, your decision... However, keep in mind that our trucks are large - white makes 'em look even larger. Not to mention that white (and black) show dirt very quickly...harder to "keep clean" than a less extreme color.

i have to say this......people think that white shows dirt quickly...huge pile of shit. if you own white that a huge lie. white and silver are the most forgiving colors with dirt. unless you go mudriding on your daily drive to work. white looks clean until you get right up to. i can have a nasty as truck(well what i consider nasty). but if i wash my wheels it looks clean. i would think those who own white would have to agree....paint it white lol

I concur!

Light colors show less dirt then dark colors, always have. I own three cars. Red 05 VW Beetle, White 09 VW CC, Blue 96 Tahoe (I'm patriotic too) The CC always looks clean.



Colors (IMHO) that show the most dirt...
Black / Browns / Dark Blues / Maroon / Red / and any Flat dark color like greens. I probably missed a few colors, but having owned most of these colors in the past, white has been the easiest to conceal the dirt.

thanks guys...plus this going to b my first car to paint..... i have painted hoods or a fender but this going to b my first car to paint.... i took my truck down to the metal the whole truck and i put my roll pan on.. i cant wait to see it finish and i also started changing the interior to black and white

I have a white 01 yuk and it doesn't show dirt as bad until you get right up on it.
