Yes even though you bought it used and it's under 5ys 60,000 miles you still have the factory powertrain warranty, every thing else is 3yrs 36,000.
Yes exactly.. will carry over to next owners.
There is one exception, vehicles that have a rebuilt or salvage title can be denied warranty. Vehicles with clean titles, but an major accident or insurance loss note can be tricky.
I used to buy hail damaged cars for friends and families (usually cars for their kids) from auctions.. and if the vehicle history has even as much as a blot, yes some manufacturers will deny the warranty.
I called the Local dealers at the time for their policy on these vehicles with a clean title but a insurance loss note on the history for a cosmetic issue like hail damage. The only manufacturer who really said "No warranty" was Toyota. All others had no issues since it was hail damage.... Ford, GM, Dodge, I pressed Toyota corporate on why hail damage would affect warranty on something like an engine, but they were pretty strict. Local Honda dealer was the best of the lot actually, good guys, they even gave me a brand new battery when I went to the dealer to pick up some parts, as the one I bought from the auction had a weak battery.
