Need head unit wiring help

I'm in the process of installing a Kenwood dnx9140 unit and there are a couple of wires im not too sure about where/if to wire.

From head unit:
1)orange/white (dimmer control) - I've read diagrams saying that it is N/A but my factory radio dims

2)brown (mute) - Says to wire where it will ground when phone rings or in conversation. I'm assuming this is for a hard wired connection to phone docks.

3)blue (motor antenna control wire)

4)blue/white (power control wire)

5)light blue/yellow (steering remote control input) - I think this goes to the PAC unit

6)purple/white (reverse sensor wire) - I'm not using this now but would be good to know for future reference.

From wiring harness:
6)orange (radio illumination wire)

7)orange/white (dimmer wire) - I'm sure this would hook up to the above
orange/white but not sure if even needed

8)blue/white


Any help from you stereo gurus is greatly appreciated!!

i know for sure i did not hook up the dimmer, and yes the blue and white wire is usally the remote wire for the amp. at least on my Alpine it is. def check with a test light tho to make sure

Also, it's a non-Bose, non-OnStar. I'm using a GMRC-01 wiring harness.

it wont hurt to hook up the dimmer wire. hook up the amp turn on if there is no sound. all other wire are for future use.

Thanks!! After doing a ton of searching on the web I've found that the brown mute wire is for a hands free kit, the blue antenna wire is for motorized antennas (which we dont have), the light blue/yellow is for the PAC SWI-JACK unit (I ordered the PAC SWI-X so that is going up for sale if anybody wants it), the blue/white wire is the signal to turn on the amps, and the orange wire from the harness isn't used since the head unit doesn't have the provisional wire for it. I do like to dim my interior lights so the orange/white wires will be hooked up. I don't plan on running a camera right now (maybe never) so I'll just wait to wire the purple up.
