08-11 are the same wiring. Couple differences like USB input and different mapping

Actually yes you can, I believe I was the one who said that it was not possible and I was wrong. I have a 2012 Silverado without nav and that basically gives you 2011 and older plugs to the non nav radio. I had Greg at CPS Audio Video in cali sell me the Nav unit, and wiring harnesses of which comes preprogrammed for your truck so essentially it is plug in play from them and the whole setup costs 1500.00. I also opted for a video harness and that was an additional 50.00. This unit is quite a bit different from the 2011 and older units, completely different look to the software. It also has it's own XM tuner built inside it as well. Sorry for the crappy pictures lens was dirty.

does your navi have blutooth?

Bluetooth is in the vcim unit which is a module behind the dash also tied to OnStar. If you have a GMT900 vehicle that is 07-08, you can purchase an 09+ (when BT came out) and switch yours out and Bluetooth will work.

You do realize that you just explained the exact opposite of what the OP is wanting to do.

No I didn't your missing the rest of my reply in your quote, The wiring didn't change for all of the 2012 fullsize SUV's and Trucks. The wiring changed for ONLY the trucks and SUV's with the factory installed Navigation unit. If the truck was not ordered with Navigation from the factory the wiring plugs are the same from 07 and up. Just clearing up the misinformation I was given when I first looked into this and was told I couldn't do this. SO Yes this 2012 GM OEM Navigation unit will work in all 2007+ NNBS fullsize trucks and SUV's with the proper adapter harness from what I have been told by Greg at CPS audio and video. And heck for that matter you could install the 2011 and older Navigation units into a 2012 if so desired and no adaptors would be needed.
