My husband bought an OEM navi for my 2011 Tahoe. He has it installed but it will not find the GPS signal....we have decided that he needs to use the antenna that came with the purchase? Why doesn't the antenna from the vehicle work for this? Wouldn't the Onstar feature make this work? It is frustrating that the instructions that came with are a JOKE! I love the Tahoe but when we purchased it the navi wasn't as needed as it is now. Any suggestions would be great.

i would definitely try the antenna that came with it to see if itll work. just plug it in and maybe toss it on top of the dash to see if you can get signal. if you can then just install it fully. i dont know about that antenna but i know for a fact that when we do aftermarket nav units, we install the antennas inside the dash behind where the radio mounts. as long as its mounted upright without metal above it then itll find signal just fine.

Yeah the antenna is your problem plug it in and theres a little spot on the dash where you mount it just pop the backside up toss the puck in there and route the wire to your radio and you'll be good
