NAV unit from another GM Model...

If you buy a unit that was for a Tahoe, but have a Yukon, won't the unit display "TAhoe" or "Chevy" when started up?

Does the Dealer reprogram make the model change on startup?

I am pretty sure the radio gets that information from the car computer.

I thought I read on here that so,mebody bought a unit that was in an acadia, and it read "Acadia" and was a red background after installed?
