The sticker kit I bought on Amazon works great. Converted four (4) of the button surfaces from looking like crap to looking almost like new.
Would have looked perfect if I had placed all more precisely. o_O

Can you see light underneath where the original wore away or did you paint or sharpie under there? I've seen some where you can see light coming thru especially at night? Just curious.....

The stickers adhere well and permit light to pass through where it is supposed to, so the buttons look factory-new as long as the stickers are positioned well. Great solution.

LOL

I enjoy black cars/trucks.......but I will admit that it's nice to have a vehicle in a color that always looks pretty damn clean & sharp with ZERO effort. haha

Shaving the hatch glass is another mod that is easy to do yet cleans things up more than you might expect. Just work fishing line under the factory 'handle' and then remove the adhesive remnants from the glass:

Carpet looking stained, dingy or dirty?
This stuff works wonders. Truly miraculous results, and couldn't be easier to use.

Buy it at any Home Depot or Lowes.

I'd bought this Tahoe more or less as a daily beater and soccer-dad mobile/hauler. The cool thing is that due to this forum I learned that I can replace or upgrade lots of things more easily than I'd imagined.

A big change that I enjoy every day is the brushed titanium steering wheel spokes in place of the original peeling spokes. GM part numbers 25824698, 25824700.

They match the dash trim perfectly. One of my favorite mods to date.

Nice, this is one of the first mods I did to mine in 2012 as well, hated that peeling plastidip looking crap. I've also done the LED license plate lamps, Silverado special edition 20" wheels, added factory nav and backup camera and Diablo tuner. I haven't tackled the center console cover yet, mine's got 210k miles and that cover surprisingly isn't bad. But I need to fix all this stuff to make room for my 2016 HoHo in the garage. :D
