apparently the reverse lights should be red not clear, and the overspray, oh the overspray.

and on a more boring note, i got the snow tires off the tahoe for some crappy ones i had on last summer with my original avalanche wheels.

supposed to be a p71 alt if i can get it on the car.

possible tires for the car later??? have to see how it goes!

and the fuzz ball, cause this is only the second time he has actually laid on our laps..

the car overall isnt too bad and does run but needs a few things, cowl put back together, water pump ( with it, just needs installed) t-stat, pipes hooked back to the manifolds i think ( haven't been under it yet to verify)

not sure what the end goal is for it, but for a $300 beater i am pretty open!.

rust is minimal, tires actually has two good pair just on wheels for a different year so they sit under the car pretty far. if i keep it this will be one thing i will be addressing wither with the spacers i have on the hoopty or different wheels.




and for funzies, here is an air chuck creation i ended up making so we could use his compressor and my chuck to air some tires up easier.

alright, so with overtime there hasnt been alot of good time to dive into the larger project stuff, but with nicer weather starting to stick around i will be pushing harder to get this bike done. so here we go!

with an alt like a car is why you see so many wings with so many lights. no tiny stator here!!

stem ready for new bearings.

new and old.. the oem design not really the best. the new ones will hold up much better for longer.

not gonna lie, most days it feels like about that many things going, between the vehicles, bikes and normal home items. and there are several i havent really touched in some time.

alright, more stuff. got the most of the front of the suspension back together on the bike, and i have to say i hate this road. ( i live on a paved road, that has been torn out to dirt for the last 3 years so they can repave it. they use brine water to keep dust down in the summer, so everything gets salt in the summer from dust control, and salt in the winter because michigan)


borrowed a good digital snapon torque wrench, so used mine as a paperweight to keep things from flying away.

wife washed some parts before i put them back on to get some bulk dirt/mud off

gonna need some seals at some point in the future also! but i will have them rebuilt and upgrade springs while at it.

back on for now.

a couple pics to show why i hate this damn road and the salt

front is back together, just need to remount the brakes and front half of the fender. ( about half hour, we needed to leave for some more important things)

the radiator, headlights, fairing reinstall, and hopfully airfilter and shelter ( basically the rest of everything) should happen thursday/friday this weekend.. with a little luck i will be able to take it for a spin this weekend and start taking it to work again next week!.

also made the hoe do a little work for a buddy that needed some supplies ( this is about 2/3 of the load, we dropped the rest at job site.)

had to get my computer going so we could download some updates for a bully dog for this big bastard also, he is a family friend that i drive some of the trucks for on occasion.

and the next next next project. a friend of ours has it and it dont run, and needs it gone. so gonna make the denali do some work on this one to bring it home ( mostly for wife comfort on the trip there and back) crank no start. get it home and go from there, as the rest of the car seems pretty not bad.

and my lawn mower is starting to not be in great shape. so worked a deal with a buddy and his dad and for buying a $300 locker for his 9inch rear, i get a decent mower.

another project is that dad got this old 25' ish foot camper and we are going to turn it into a car trailer.

not a terrible idea, i know i am planning a box of some sort for holding stuff like straps, hitch bars, winch/battery. so have to see what kind of room is left over.

The stock air filters use a double mesh screen on the bottom side of them, a fine layer and one slightly more course. I took the fine sheet and trimmed and wrapped it around the end of the intake runners to keep them out for the future.

While the fairing is off and you can get to the headlights is the ideal time to swap to something better. So in goes some electrical connection led headlights that work very well in this application ( at at $120 Ish a pair, with two pair they better! )

Tell you these things are bright and white! A pic with fairing half in place to test the lights.
