actually the trailer will be closer to this one. this one has a 15' deck, 10 flat and 5 dove.

the new one will be 18' deck with 5-6' dove. the difference will be no bridge around the top, as well as the deck will be a full 8' with either removable fenders or drive over fenders. we have liked the old one for so many years and it has worked so well we decided to keep it close to the original and only make a couple small changes. the width in part to my offroad toy that will not fit inside the rails of either existing trailer once it is done. it will be an xj cherokee with half ton axles and 37'tires.

I'm digging it--something different isn't always bad. Looks like your father did a good job too.

so it is all apart since last fall as i had too much with work to fix it then, and not much good time or weather to get after it yet this spring. going to be doing steering head bearings while it is all apart. but that means that the full forks, wheel ect need to come off to get it all done.

the pricy little fix, just shy of 400.

IMG_20210312_145053141.jpg

also figured because it is a huge pain in the ass to get to the headlights and they are available to get to i got some led lights that are very good for these bikes. but at least they where cheap.lol about 120 a pair, and it takes to pair.

so before i got the bike apart we got a call and went to get a car moved for some family, and being the trip to swap the ram for the panther and being the ramps where fixed for the tandem, as the tire on the single axle was rubbing the fender so needed to swap the truck on the trailers we got the truck off, got the car picked up and unloaded and the truck loaded back up for tomorrow (thursday). the car i belive is going to be mine for hauling it, but sounds like the motor is screwed, the right front is locked up, and is rusty as sin. so i will probably cut off the cat/s and scrap whatever isnt worth keeping.

alright, so it was a pretty good weekend, thursday got the truck swapped for the car. and i have to say the car is a peach! ok seriously it looks like hell as it looks like a poor metallic or chamilian paint done with rattle cans, but body wise isnt that bad at all, minimal rust, and the mechanicals should be minimal to get going. there are some pics of the trip and several of the car after.
