so a family friend that is like a brother stopped on his way from washington state to maine and back. had a nice new truck that he was driving. ( had like 500 miles when he left home)

IMG_20211106_133246414_HDR.jpg

while here he ended up with a new toy that we got to play with a bit. we ended up greasing, and snugging up bearing on the trailer this rifle is on while he was here so it would make it home safely.

she had the hanger break on the denali about an hour from home. it either finished breaking the muffler, or just allowed it to fall , but the pipe was dragging.

received_392092385828306.jpeg

our god daughter was following her at the time, and they had jb weld, and a bikini top between them, so seeing it was just the hanger she took the bikini string and tied the hanger to the frame several times and drove it home!

received_446634800128511.jpeg

ended up the entire inlet of the muffler was broken out.

IMG_20211110_161306788.jpg

IMG_20211110_161409493.jpg

and i know it isnt pretty, but it should last as long as the rest of the pipe around it and i will have it all replaced later. but it cost me very little, i get to tow a trailer back for the guy, the shop i had put it on originally wanted over 200 to replace the muffler, which is more than they charged to replace the muffler and delete the "y" after the muffler in the first place!.

so on the astra, it had two 100% brand new tires on one side, that i put on the front when we got it. the other two ended up having more tread than i remembered, but where getting some dry rot, i will keep the better one as a full size spare just in case, but had another pair put on the front.

this tire swapping was going to happen either way, just so happed that it reminded my why the night before i look it over to get done.

IMG_20211113_190304879.jpg

the old

IMG_20211115_093452856.jpg

the new ones that where on the car and the ones i just put on have very similar tread patterns i reilized after the fact, the new ones have a little more cuts in the main blocks witch should help with snow/ wet traction a little.

old on left, new on right.

well lets just see how stupid i have been the last few days. i have ordered many things of the want nature more than the need, and it has been so long that i dont even feel sorry about it, the tv above was just part of the start. and just to punish myself i am gonna list it all out! lol prices after tax, warrantee, shipping ect as to what i paid to have it in my hands.

we dont have cable/sat and we havent had anything great for phones (usually 200-250 specials like our current moto g6 ) so we use our phones alot, and watch dvd/blu ray ect. so decided to get stuff that was a little higher than low end and actually enjoy what we get.

started with the tv above.

LG c1 55 OLED 1,299.99 (1,680)
Motorola One 5g ace x2 299.99 (875)
phone cases/screen protectors ( 30)

today i added a bunch more

lg 4k player 180
4k cables 30
a few 4k movies 40 (275)

Klipsch R-12sw sub 190
magnetic charge cables for the new phones 6pc x2 50
wall mount for new tv 50
solar battery charger/maintainer 25 (340)

Marantz 5015 av receiver 1,299 (1,380)

ar 80% receivers x3 (160)

16'' ar build kit 280
10.5 ar build kit 280 (550)

ouch right about 5,300 and i have a few more things i am planning on

need to get the tower speakers worked on, should be about 300.
a couple of sig romeo 5 for the ar builds about 100 ea. so another 200

so should be just shy of 6k! yay for stupid! lol. but so far we are very happy with the new phones, and once fixed with the sound equipment the living room will be bitchin!

only about 1k over what i was figuring as the guns were a splurge, and tax a warranty's added up to more than i expected.

So a few updates. First I added a little something to the Tahoe. They are wired to the stock fog harness, then did the 6on high so they are with the fog switch and automatically with the high beam.

IMG_20211124_142406113_HDR.jpg

And parts of the new entertainment started showing.

New player to take advantage of the 4k tv

IMG_20211129_154018511_HDR.jpg

The new replacement av unit. Which is same as the old one just updated. 4k more HDMI, Bluetooth ect.

IMG_20211201_193731556_HDR.jpg

And the new replacement sub to replace the 150watt 10" that failed.

Well not a crazy amount to update really, but I did do one more silly thing for the house stereo equipment.

IMG_20211227_132406477_HDR.jpg

We grabbed a pair of towers that are direct little brothers to the ones we have ( which means they will very closely match acoustically to the current ones. ) And the new center that was with them is also much closer . In fact all 5 speakers will have the exact same diaphragm in them ( like the ones I installed in our current towers, ) they just are slightly different crossovers in the towers. The plan is to use these towers as our rear channel speakers.

Our current towers along with the new Toni's towers

IMG_20211227_195055116_HDR.jpg

Unfortunately they are not without fault and need some repairs. The tweeters in the horns are both dead, and one sub has a crack. After I got them home I pulled a tweeter from our speakers and tested each in each tower to verify it was the tweeter diaphragms or the crossovers or both that needed repair. Thankfully it seems just them. ( Will find out in a couple days when replacements come in)

IMG_20211227_203300480.jpg

Also a larger center speaker that will be a closer match to the rest ( same tweeter diaphragm)

IMG_20211227_194009799_HDR.jpg

All the parts will be showing up in the next day or two for repairs.

Also got some repair done to the Saturn as the blower quit working. It appeared after replacing the motor and resistor that the motor pulled enough power to blow the fuse. Direct tested the old blower ( that appeared to be a junk yard replacement) it didn't work at all.

Also our little boy turned one on 1/2/22!

Here are a couple pics . One is from shortly after we got home at 3mos and now. My has he grown, and has over a year of growing yet to do! He is about 11lbs currently, and should be about 22lbs when fully grown.

A couple breeds off. He is NFC. (Norwegian forest cat). Which is ancestor to the main **** ( is the older of the two breeds, MC is descendants of NFC)
I should have known from the eyes. Ragdolls are blue. Fur looks exactly like my boy’s did. Beautiful cat.
