So I haven't driven my truck in about a week and when I went out to start it the battery was dead! After jumping it off I decided to drive it and noticed this would happen right after start up.

Has anyone has this happen before? Now it doesn't happen all the time and the one time it didn't happen I tested to see if the switched worked and once the TCS turned it off everything went crazy again and it stayed off. I have also noticed the bar under the gear indicator is slow to move as well as the doors unlocking when in park and the instant fuel eco on the DIC is all over the place while just cruising down the road from 4mpg to 35mpg. Everything else seems fine so far.....

Anyone got any ideas? Besides my truck is pissed that I haven't drove it lol

start simple. Get your batter load tested. Funny things like this happens when batteries start failing

No I didn't replace the battery, it didn't completely die it just didn't have enough juice to start the truck in -5 degree temps the other day. I load tested it at home and it came back ok but with a low charge. I charged it last night back to 100%

I will probably replace it anyway since I bought the truck with it in it back in 2010

My battery service came on in mine on the DIC. They said it had a low charge. I replaced it a few weeks ago.

Just wanted to update this thread even though the battery load tested "low" and needed a recharge at a local parts store, I replaced it with a Optima red top and have not had the issue since!
