A local salvage yard had several Tahoes and Suburbans. I was able to get a bunch of things for the PPV

the rear bumper support with the hitch
internal rear view mirror
both front pillar trim pieces (with Bose speakers, wooo) in the right color
the dash trim with the DIC swtich
a replacement lower window moulding for the drivers side back door
A center console in the wrong color, but paint will fix that.

All for $260 so not too bad

Yes, you got that stuff pretty cheap. Looks like you might be from the Houston area, so what salvage yard is rich in Tahoes and Suburbans? Most of the places I frequent those trucks are old, and pretty picked over.

Trust Autp Parts on Airline Dr. they only do trucks/suvs. nice guys and reasonable prices

Cool! Are they a 'pick-n-pull' style place, or do you go in and tell them what you need?

Go in and tell em what you need. They will let you go look around the yard. The parts i got came from 4 or 5 different trucks. I should have looked for a steering wheel with the audio controls while i was there.
