hey all

Got the 1999 Yukon acting up again.......

Power door locks.

At some point they have all worked... more and more I’m getting doors that will lock but not unlock, or unlock but won’t lock.... or that will sort of try to move either direction but never make it...

This is using the original remote, aftermarket remotes and the lock button on the drivers door

There doesn’t seem to be a pattern to it. I can’t imagine that I have 4 failing actuators.... but I suppose it’s possible.
I thought maybe a fuse, but in that case there would be nothing at all...

How about the relay?
Is it either good or bad.... can it cause this kind of issue?

gremlins man burn it down before they get you.
but no i usually have only seen one door at a time. i suppose if your remote receiver is starting to go on the fritz it could just work sometimes and not the other times.

Considering the door lock issue, the courtesy light issue, the power windows issue.... and the oxygen sensor too, maybe... I could have a ground issue at the heart of all this.

Where is the remote receiver located? Can it be tested?

Here are the diagrams as it relates to keyless entry, the thinking being that it would be more likely to have an issue there instead of all actuators at once.

I swapped out the relay with no change.

The drivers side still consistently works with both the remote and the button on the door. Though sometimes the drivers door doesn't always snap into locked or unlocked position.

The pass side never works, with the exception of the pass/rear door which will unlock once every 20-30 or so cycles. Pass/front never works... though I can see movement, just not enough. Some days show more movement than others but never more than a 1/4"... maybe 1/8"

yeah my front passenger door does this randomly, usually after we get a couple days of rain.
