Your problem is you can't read. I posted 5 thread on different forums all stating hatred for flowmasters. I had a 40 series so for you to say I have no clue on personal experience with the said muffler is ignorance.
My opinion is they drone, yes they drone
My opinion is they don't flow, they don't flow
My opinion is every redneck with a z71 has flows here, they are redneck
Btw u have offered endless knowledge on the subject yet I don't know what I'm talking about. Cool story bro

Its a argument over 1 to 2 hp anyway. Its a sound on these trucks not a power increase

yea 1-2 hp that you def won't notice... +1 on this. I even asked about this when I got the BB Tune for my Tahoe and Justin even said that the muffler really won't do nearly as much as getting a CAI and tuning the vehicle. I had a flowmaster 50 series dumped on 01 Z71 Tahoe and it had a LOT of drone/cabin noise... ended up going with a bigger/wider magnaflow straight through muffler.

---------- Post added at 01:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:21 PM ----------

i think muffler threads should be banned.

After reading three pages of this... I agree :)

Double facepalm ...........

LMMFAO!

'Nuff Said "Bro"!

My bad. You're right! It's totally cool to talk shit about an American company that actually makes quality shit, on an American truck forum, just because you don't like rednecks. Genius.

So, to sum up this thread:

brucebruce: I think flowmasters suck! They are loud and drony and make trucks sound like redneck trucks (whatever the hell that means).

Chip: They are loud and drony and work for marginal increases. They are American! If you want loud, buy from them.

Brucebruce: No, dammit. They suck. They are for rednecks only. If you want to sound like a redneck, this is the golden key. **** rednecks!!

Chip: They sound good if loud is what you are going for.

Brucebruce: Redneck!

Chip: I'm not mad!

lol for the rest of us.

Well u forgot the part where he wanted proof of drone, no flow, and loss of power. I gave it and didn't want to accept it. Here's another one. 3 ppl hat had blowmasters with cutouts and gained 20hp when using the cutout.

And where did the fact that they are American made get brought up? Doesn't matter bc at the end of the day flowmasters still suck, they don't have my money, and it's not on my vehicle so whatever.

here is my opinion coming from that i had both 40 Series Flowmaster on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe

And current have 22" Magnaflow on my current vehicle 2006 Chevy Tahoe

Flowmaster - Drone, Very Loud Love the sound of them but it gets old real fast when you have kids and can't have a conversation with the wife

Magnaflow - Very quite, But comes alive on WOT, no drone what so ever.

didn't notice any performance increase on either or.

Man, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I wasn't part of that conversation. I actually agreed with you partially. You're on some "**** Rednecks" shit. I don't even run Flowmasters anymore, so I'm not the superfan, or anything. I'm just tellin' it like it is. They make great products. Just make sure your purchase matches your application. I'm sorry some coutry boy took your ***** though! I hope that works out. ;)

Chip, I meant no offense, btw....lol...I was cracking up. :)

I had magnaflows on another car, and while it wasn't one of these, they sounded really nice. I would go with Magnaflow before flowmasters any day.

Magnaflow makes some quality stuff, mine is the 22" stainless steel, I've had the truck for about 5 years now and the quality and sound is still there, although at first i did though it was to quite for my taste remember i was coming from a Flowmaster 40 series muffler i did find myself stepping on the gas a little harder just to hear it, but after my Headers/catless and 3 inch custom exhaust, it's perfect.. the most important part of it all i have NO DRONE what so ever even at high speeds 75-100 MPH.
Hope this helps you, there's also a few sound clips on my youtube account and on my sticky header thread.

I agree with all of this!

Thank you sir :Handshake:
