Muffler questions.

Okay, BBP is coming to the windy city next month, so I want to have a muffler on. On my 2006 Z71, I see 3" center in, dual 3" out that immediately merge back to a single 3" tail. I feel like I read somewhere that only one of those exit pipes is open to the tail (can't find this again... Maybe because I dreamt it or something). Should I be looking at a single in /dual out, or a single center /center, or what?

Single in, single out, and delete the merge with a section of straight pipe. One is NOT blocked off however.

That's the direction I was going in my head. It looks like they merge pretty evenly so.... Center /center then? Has anyone else done it like this?

I seriously have been thinking about it dub, ive been going back and forth for the last few mths about dumping the hoe and getting either a 17 or 18 denali xl... @iamdub Ive also got a ccm 2.5/1 level kit and 20” ltz rims diablo i2030 that i just cant decide what im going to do yet....if i dump it you get first dibs on the mf and im listing everything else i have for this and my old 01 tahoe ....
