lower valance q?

does anyone know for sure if the 00-04 lower gray valance is the same as the 05-06? The reason I ask, is I plan to order the lower black air dam, which came out on the 05-06's, but would like to make sure it will will fit the 00-04's as well.

05-06 were a little different. They have all the holes filled and have the extra lower piece. Should still fit but imo don't look as good.

I was looking at this, LMC, all it says is with fog lights or without, part 8 or part 9....says 00-06...?

I put the 06 air dam on my 04 with no problem, slips right on, mounted the ends with 10mm bolts, added 3 self tapping sheet metal screws where the channel slips over for good measure.

Just to back that up the volant valance fit 00-07 just the top cap is different

What purpose does this lower valance serve? I too have been wanting to add this valance but I talk myself out of it only because I don't know the purpose it has. Inlighten me folks...

to create turbulance under the valance, to help increase airflow to radiator.
